The agreement between you and Shutr Scout when you use the app.
Effective Date: August 4, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Shutr Scout mobile application (the "App"), provided by DP Creative LLC (d/b/a "Shutr Scout," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial and internal business use, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or its content.
Shutr Scout is a one-time purchase. An optional add-on, Learn More, offers a limited number of free uses and then an optional low-cost annual subscription. All purchases and any subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store; billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. We do not receive or store your payment information. Prices are shown in the App and may change.
Shutr Scout provides suggested camera settings based on the information you enter and the light you measure. These are starting points and recommendations, real-world results depend on your technique, timing, equipment, and conditions, which are outside our control. You are responsible for operating your own equipment and for the photos you take. We do not guarantee any particular result and are not responsible for missed shots, lost opportunities, or damage to equipment.
The optional Learn More feature uses a third-party AI service to generate plain-language explanations and composition tips. AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes and may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Use your own judgment, and don't rely on it as professional advice.
You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it or its systems, using it in violation of law, or abusing the Learn More service (for example, automated or excessive requests).
The App, its content, design, and the Shutr Scout name and logo are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don't transfer any ownership to you. Your photos and saved settings are yours, using the App doesn't give us ownership of your work.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recommendations will meet your expectations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DP Creative LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost photos, lost opportunities, or lost profits, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are between you and DP Creative LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, or for any claims relating to it, and is not responsible for support or maintenance of the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and applicable United States law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. DP Creative LLC is based in Lexington, Kentucky.
